Hello Beckton What great week of weather we’ve had. I hope your bank holiday was filled with BBQs, Ice cream and trips to the seaside. Have a look below to see if the heat had an impact on the Street Crimes in Beckton. Disorder Squatters have taken up residence in a warehouse on Eastbury Road. Damage has been caused to the building, and several allegations have been made between those involved during the week. Most of the squatters have now left the premises. We visited the address this morning and are currently liaising with the Fire Service regarding the possibility of condemning the building.
Racially Aggravated Public Order 24/05/2026 - Two shoppers were acting suspiciously in a clothing store at Gallions Reach. When challenged by staff, they became verbally abusive and made racist comments before fleeing the scene.
Theft from a Vehicle 21/05/2026 – Tools were stolen from a van in Gallions Reach 22/05/2026 – Numberplates stolen from a Blue Tesla near Atlantis Avene 23/05/2026 - Numberplates stolen from a Blue Chery Tiggo in Atlantis Avene
Theft From a Person 22/05/2026 – Cycle enabled snatch of a mobile phone in Atlantis Avenue. The suspect was reported to be wearing a blue hoody.
Theft of a Vehicle 22/05/2026 - A silver Lexus was stolen from Gallions Reach at approximately 8:30pm. A member of the public witnessed the suspects leaving the scene in the two vehicles and contacted police immediately. A vehicle believed used in the theft was found abandoned nearby.
Theft of a Bicycle 21/05/2026 – A mountain bike was stolen from outside Beckton Globe.
All reported street crime this week took place in the eastern side of Beckton, with the majority occurring around Gallions Reach and Gallions Reach DLR Station. Please continue to keep your phones secure, particularly while waiting at bus stops and train stations.
